Orbital Polishers ?

Has anyone used a orbital polisher.. ive been reading some detailing threads and everyone says that these machines work wonders... im thinking about buying a kit... if anyone uses one let me know how well it works and if its worth the money... cause a kit is around 250$

Porter Cable #1. They work great, and I cant imagine being without one. Get a set with some nice foam pads. Where are you buying from? AutoGeek?

yea i seen some on autogeek there pretty expensive... i just went to home depot and found a 10 in polisher for 25 bucks.. should i get that one or get the full kit online ??

Good tools yield good results, good tools last a long time, good tools maintain their value. Unless money is an issue buy the good tool, buy the good accesories and buy the good compounds. If you do this you will be able to listen to others horror stories of crappy results, and crappy tools, and crappy compounds and you will be doing so with a little hint of a smile on your face. Of course you can go the other way and join the cheap crowd and cry a song of disaster.

I bought a cheap one from WalMart. Works pretty good. But I would'nt think of usuing it on a car.. I just use it for painting small ass parts and taillights. Stuff like that.
