After hearing Justin's issues with the Ported intake install I am gonna ask for some help up front. I moved into this condo that doesn't allow anything (barely allow a car wash) like car fixin' to occur there. The cool part is that it is in Opus 2 and what a fun drive home every night!

Anyway, I have a Ported '00 intake manifold and a throttle body to throw in there. Can anyone spare some time/expertise/a place to make the swap? I don't have the TB yet, but i anticipate receiving it early next week (just ordered it from Ray Dixon).

Thanks!!!!!

I smell install party! (and a sleepover for Rod wherever the install occurs)

Actually installing the intake manifold isn't too hard if you're familiar taking stuff apart on the car. I'd be pretty comfortable pulling the fuel rail and such and I'm sure Roman is more than I.

We just need a location and a semi-warm place. Ideally a heated garage sounds sweet but since I don't know if that'll work, we'll just wear gloves. Oh and we should do it before it gets too cold.

Smells like a GTG to me. I don't think the weather will be getting cold in this week or two.

Yeah, i thought that was the plan? Jake does the work we make sure the burgers don't get burned, right? And Sunday after next is a good date i think is good now a firm place is necessary. I do have access to a really nice shop in Waconia with tools and everything, heated/AC'd or open doored if necessary. But it is a bit of a drive for most people. Plus it is a place for me to stay the night. Let me know what you think about that.

I figured the next couple weeks it will get colder and I really want this on before the white stuff flies, then it is dyno time to get a baseline!

Anyone willing to install a race header? I think co_macho will be interested to go if someone can help him put his race header on.

Yeah, I will help him. Its not too bad, the bad part is getting the egr tube back into the race header. That took me like 3 hours alone!

Rod, so this shop will let a few guys hang out afterhours? Lets get this going, sunday after next!?

It is actually my gf dad's garage. He does a lot of demolition derby car stuff so he has an awesome garage. I am gonna see him tonight and see if he is okay with us using his shop. I don't think it will be a problem though and he is curious as to why I am such a fool for my ride. If i can work things right we should be okay. I will Post on Sunday (currently don't have internet access at home) at let everyone know. This would be the 19th correct?

Crap for crap! Well Waconia is out, sounds like the old man is gonna be out huntin'. He doesn't feel comfortable with folks around when he's not there. Can't say I blame him. Anyone else have any ideas? I was hopin that he'd be around, on weekends during huntin and ice fishin season he is hardly ever home. Sucks :(

Sweet. Yeah... I am really hoping that we can make this install party happen this upcoming weekend just before the winter comes.

Any luck on getting this installed? You can ask a couple of guys here or a few others at focaljet. I've got a little experience with the Focus. If You need a hand to do this I would feel more than happy to discuss it with You.
