alright. damn this Focus! I'm sick of everything breaking.
so today, on my way to minneapolis, I wa taking a left turn and gas at the same time and the tires slipped hard on some road paint. then they grabbed they slammed hard and wheel hopped.

now... NOISE!

the noise is as follows
-varies with speed
-seems to be from drivers side
-louder when slow
-not gear dependant
-only makes sound when I am decelerating/coasting. DOES NOT SOUND UNDER BREAKING OR ANY THROTTLE INPUT
-same sound w/ clutch in or out
-it's kind of a "THWAPPP THWAPPP" sound with some hardcore rubbing/groaning sounds added with the thwapps.

I looked under the car and I can't see anything unusual. it's not the wheels.

any ideas what I managed to fry this time???

Break dust sheild rubbing? Maybe? Did you take the wheel off? I would.
(I doubt that it really is the dust sheild, lol.)

Grease if the boot tore, but it could just be the CV joint, I have to agree with Steve.

it sounds as if you may have broke the spring clip that goes on the outside of the front caliper. other wise its the hanger bearing for the right drive shaft.
