41 MPG? How? Is it downhill with a tailwind all the way? Were you getting pushed by a semi?

My very best ever was 31 MPG and that was on 'Sconny two lane stuck at about 60. Average on open highway at 80 is 27.

41mpg is NOT possible in a focus. Period.

Your math was wrong.

That waldoch car is a piece of shit. Doesn't include the subs even, just the box. I saw it when it was new and it didn't look that good. It's been some teenage kids daily driver the last few years, I bet if you looked at that 'clean' underbody it would have all the normal car as one that's been driven through snow... because I know that one has been.

11k ROFL. Good one.

I bet I couldn't even get much over 10k for my car. Some people are rediculous when they try to price their cars.

no math is right. its either 240 or 265 miles, i have a 11 gallon tank, i use 6-7 gallons(1/2-3/4). do the math yer self. plus i dont stop and i stay at 73 mph as much as possible. a simailar deal happend when i had the cai, the header and the cat back on the old set up, i think i averaged around 36 to souix falls. one trip back from souix falls i had a tail wind almost the whole way, and by shokapee i had just hit a 1/4 used!!!! i use royall purp 5w30 , i roll 34 psi in ma tires, i wax the shit out of my car, and i tail gate truckers when ever possible 8)

All I know is that if I fill my tank and hit '94 into Wisconsin, I get to Mauston and fill it again I'm getting an average of 27.5 mpg pure highway at between 75-80 with the cruise set almost all the way.

It doesn't get much easier to figure than that, The 31 I got was on the return trip that same weekend. Filling up in Elkhart Lake and topping up again at Mauston before I hit the freeway again.

I run 35 PSI and I don't think I'm losing 13 MPG because of a few bugs.

Are you guessing at the gallons used or are you doing the math at tank fills?

Since a focus has an 11 gallon tank the math is extremely simple. Clear your trip odo, when you fill. Run until empty. add a decimal. Boom that's your MPG w/in about 2 mpg.

Ex.: I get highway 310 miles per tank fill (that was rochester and back).

310/10 = 31mpg (easy to estimate amount).

310/11 = 28.1 mpg (actual mpg)

So You are telling me, you got 451 miles on one fill. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

my car is light! i MADE it that way, i kept the SMALLER unsprun stuff FOR a reasone!!! and yes i get about 400 miles on a tank on long trips!!!! your jelous, yes? if you were a real mechanic you might know how to do some of this shit!!! i know you went through at least some of the asset ford program, right! its not to hard to figure out how to make it easier for your engine to work( ease of opperation=fuel economy and more power, witch= better power to weight= more power=less effort to move a mass= im a god!) your rims are heavy, you exhaust is heavy, your added fiberglass is heavy, your fancy head lights put a strain on the charging system and cause the alt to load, witch loads your motor. and im sure you run with the air on? and wider tires= more friction, how heavy is that " the most agessive clutch in the universe!!!!!!" is your filter clean? how often do you purge your injectors?(benny of having a flow bench handy) hows them roller followers? oh how much of yer vent gases flow into your intake? hmmmmmm its all in the hand book my friend, do your home work for once and you might learn some thing. 8)

rob, those HI D's draw less current than the halogen bulbs, and his body kit is all urethane, unless you were referring to the fiberglass supporting structure of his CF hood (doesnt that weigh less than steel?)
