Here's a new one.
What would you guys think of hooking up with a charity, say Children's Hospital or something like that, and entering into one of the summer parades to collect for the charity...Our cars would be driven in the parade of course, and while we collect for charity (maybe have friends, wifes, whatever as walkers along the route) we can be advertising the club, and perhaps some sponsors...like Hitech, Tousley, ect. to cover any entrance fees.
If we choose to do this, cars must be fit to roll...no wrecks, waxed, ect.
After the parade, we can hit the fairgrounds or whatever they have and picnic, ect.
What do you think?
New meet idea

I'm thinking one of the late summer numbers...preferably a decent size population or popular attraction...the more people the better...
I was thinking crankin Sammy Hagar...I can't drive 55.....lol
we may or may not be able to collect for charity...we'd have to have a non-profit entity..but, that's probably doable...and maybe, just maybe, if I know taxes, if our cars/members of the non-profit entity spend $$$ on upgrades for the "parade cars"....that could very well be a tax write off for each individual.....have to lookie into this more.
The thought just popped into my big empty head this morning.
Could be the "MN Focus on Children" charity...or something generic like Cars for Kids if we expand to include other makes/models...ect...

I'm going to look into this some more. I'll try and find the contact for our local parade and see what they require. Maybe give the police a call for permit purposes and surf for non-profit info.
