How to add a MP3 player to stock radio :?:

Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

I just bought one. And am looking at how to add it to the stock in dash cd changer. Does the stock unit have an aux input? That I can just get an adapter to run from there to the headphone jack of the MP3 player? Any help and advice welcome.

I see that ford has a Ipod adapter kit. Is this necessary? If so Steve you got one and how much?

Never mind I found what I need thanks to a friend at work. Here's what I got to make it all work: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... IBSA:MT:11

All I need now is a rca adapter that I'm picking up tonight and I'm set.

Yes but its an fm modulator. Which I don't want. So I went with the rca adapter method. Sould work better overall.

Also you need to make sure the stock radio you have even supports AUX inputs, generally the newer 05 and newer radios have them anything older doesn't.
