Just got a call from him telling me about his little accident this past weekend coming back from his skiing trip. And wanted me to through up a post since he will not be able to get online for a while. First off he's alright but the cars a little roughed up.
Aparently what happened was he was coming south on 35 just north of hinckley and was run off the road by a couple semi's. So instead of hitting the semi he headed for the ditch instead. At a good rate of speed still and offroaded eleanor. Into one of those wooded splits in the freeway up there. I gues he barrely missed the trees but damage was done by jumping the emergency cross lanes. He took it to a dealer and they gave him a quote of 6-7g's in damage to suspension and frame, exactly what I don't know. He said he drove it all the way home and it shimies like mad. He's waiting on what the insurance company wants to do.
He also wants to know how many are showing up to tomarows meet? And if he should show up in the minivan? So let me know so I can pass it along to him or give him a call. And tell him to come and pimp the minivan for a night.
Eleanor's a little roughed up!

Damn, I guess Eleanor won't be heading down to FS for the turbo...
If the total came to that much, sounds like the car might be totaled. He should go the meet in Eleanor, in what sounds like, might be her last meet.

Ouch, At least no one got hurt.
That much damage will almost certainly total the car. Can you say SVT five door?

Just heard from him again. Insurance company doesn't think that theres as much dammage as the dealership listed. So there requesteing a second oppinion. And he dropped it off at his normal dealership this time. Sounds like the insurance company would rather fix it than take the hit totaling it out.
Also he's showing up tomarow. So who ever shows up can get the whole story in person. And a chance to convince him to get an svt!
