Happy Birthday to me

Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

Well yesterday was my birthday and I had a good one, went to class for the first time back from winter break, spent good time with my family. I just wasn't in too good of a mood because of the day before, which was supposed to be the first day back in classes.

I didn't even get to class even though I got to school an hour early. Trying to find my parking lot, ended up on a long back road of snow. There's almost nothing around and there was snow all around. The worst thing was it was damn bright because the sun was right in front of me, in my eyes and reflecting off the snow around me. I noticed a large factory off in the distance and I kept going down this road, and then I spotted 4 concrete barricades in a line in front of me. Braked progressively harder and tried to turn but the snow and ice kept from from slowing down and turning. I've never felt worse... and the check engine light that came on was more of an insult.

That's my projector dangling out of the housing.. focinite might flinch when he sees this because I did.

Long story short
-dude behind me did not stop to see if i was ok but stopped and slowly went through the turn and drove away
-of the some 35 cars that came through within half an hour 0 stopped to see if I needed help
-the barricades didnt form around the curve, they were just 4 in a perpindicular line to the straight road and the sun light hid them so it looked like they were part of the factory

Yea but I don't really wanna use it.. I loved how those projectors looked on my car. I'm ok, just like a cold burn on my pinky from the cold.. sucks when you're standing outside for over 30 mins with how the weather was early Tuesday

Ouch! Sadly odds are going against you in this case. I can almost guarantee that thing is a total loss. :( Sorry dude. Happy B-Day though! You 20 now?

That really does suck, I think you could push it either way for repair or total though. It's probably right on the fence.

I don't know what's wrong with people these days, Maybe they all figure that since everyone has a cell phone now no one needs to help each other.

I gaurantee I would have stopped for you.

BTW- you could push for the total if it was paid for and use the money to move into an SVT. If it was not paid for watch what they want to give you for it because you will be on the hook for anything above what they pay.

BTW2- Happy effin birthday

That sucks, another Focus down.

Hope your ok. And that front end looks strikingly like my dad's ZTS when it was totaled.

Good luck.

I know thats what I thought too. Thanks for the birthday wishes guys

Steve is right, it seemed close to being totaled but it was ruled repairable. I also considered the SVT idea while I didn't know the condition of the car, but getting a manual right now isn't the time for me because sometimes my family relies on using my car. Seeing as how I'm already registered for the DUB auto show and have painted parts I still haven't thrown on yet, I'm gonna bring it back to life.

I don't know Kyle but do it quick. Your car fits in, dark and clean.
