Who does the best engine work at a fair price.

I am going to purchase the Cosworth stage 1 and stage 2 kit, and hopefully the stage 3 will be ready by the time I install the 1 & 2. But with no garage, I'm not gonna install it myself. http://www.focussport.com/cosworth-manifold.htm

I also am buying a full suspension kit and full SVT Brake setup, and I need that installed too.

Then I need to get some body parts painted. and some vinyl graphics installed.

Considering all this, my car will be down for a while. Anyone have a winter beater at $500.00 or less, not a van or truck :?

I couls see if my dad would be willing to do it. He has been working on his own vehicles a number of years and recently has done some work as a mechanic here: http://www.nw-computing.com/lcars/index.html. But he hadn't had any work there for awhile (mechanical work take a bit less time then the body work on one of those cars), and now he is working there part time (stretching it out over time because he can, he is working about 3 days a week).

If you wanted me to check for you, I think if he was willing he could do it for dirt cheap. I don't know exactly what going to a regular shop gets you, but I know he does quality work. The biggest problem would be how far away he lives from you, unless you could drop the car off for a little bit or something.

Nah we don't do paint. We contract out to Heppners in Woodbury. They are very very good. But expensive.

What do you need painted? The guy that is buying my car went to school for paint and body and does it on the side. I'm sure he could hook you up.

If you want cheap, you'll end up paying to have it sprayed again in a year. Or you'll forever be unsatisfied because they did a cheap shitty job. Don't just pick the cheapest place. Find a place with a good reputation that will stand behind their work.

I sent an email regarding the 05'+ hood from F2. I new you were interested in it. This is the response I got:
Hello Jason,

I do and already have the hoods in production for the 05+ cars. So not to worry they will be ready and available to purchase in both fiberglass and CF, thanks and take care.

although he could probably go to a more rural area and get it done for less, since labor rates tend to be less

Yeah I'd love to get ahold of him for sometime this spring. Right now its just an svt rear bumper I picked up from Rob that has a small hole, which I can either take care of or have him do, that needs to be sanded and painted twilight blue, my body side mouldings, and door handles. Hopefully I'll be adding skirts and a lip to it.
