That's good but. . .

Some of the guys on there forget thatyou CANNOT watch base TPS voltages or set to specific voltages. The TPS voltage resets every time the key is cycled. That also means that the IAC never really moves at base TPS voltage (relative). So what am I talking about? Well, playing with the TPS will not fix anything (unless it is broken or responds slow). That leaves the IAC. You have to watch duty cycle at idle. At a normal operating temp you should see between 17% and 19% (give or take, should settle very close to engine load %). Now if all that checks out close to spec then you should take my best advice and shave the throttle plate, just round the edges some; do not alter the shape or size though. The purpose of rounding the edges is because some are not assembled as well as others. Some of them rub the wall too soon and actually bleed air into the engine (then add in the standard amount of idle air).

I have had my FC 65 since feb of 02 and have yet to have any of the adverse affects, but I took the precautions before I put mine on (rounded and silicone gasket maker).

thanks for the advice. It happens occasionally on me only. whenever i start the car, the pedal is sticky. i have to step on it harder couple times before it will rev up. after its not sticky, the idle is at about 1.5k does it seems like cable or TB problem?

another issue is: when i'm cruising at about 40mph and if i shift to neutral, the idle rpm will be bouncing up and down between 950 - 1200. does it mean i have vacuum leak or its tied to the TB issue?

Try to close off a portion of the iac port.

I will say it again. The throttle plate is too thick. Use a rotary tool of some brand and a small sanding barrel to round the square edges of the plate (do not change the shape of the plate).

At some point here I will have a how-to rebuild your FC 65mm TB done, but it is still in progress, sorry.
