I think they might be technically legal. that is if it is one of those where it only covers like 50% of the glass (so it might be like 50% tint)
I dunno about MN laws, but apparently it must not be illegal in WI

They will look at it more or less as a large decal, those generally go on the back of a truck window for a reason, you can black out a truck or van or suv window as dark as you want, a car you can not, find the right cop, he will prob make you pull it on the spot.
pfff... anybody seen 02s car? He drove right past tirerack, because he couldn't see the big lit up sign on the side of the building when we got to Jetfest... i mean, it was 3am, but still...

Thats different. I have actual window tint. Not an huge ass flag in my back window...
And for the record, it was late, I was tired, and my passenger was bitching about something, I can't remember...I saw the sign, but I did'nt see the driveway that we drove by....lol

Its legal if you can see through it - my friend has the style on his truck that from the outside you can't see in - but from inside you can see out fine (but like it's tinted). If its that style you can have them on there.

Looks gay anways. The associations of the checkered flag seem out of place there. Feels nascar wannabe.

Its legal on a truck, not on a car. Cops want to see into cars for a reason, thats why they get excited about shit on the back windows, many officers have been shot because they did not see the driver or pass grab for a gun, another reason they spot light you, they want to see who is in the car and what they are doing.
Because many trucks and vans do not have a clear view out the back window, being some are used as work trucks or have no back windows, that is why you can go as dark as you want or cover your back window fully.
Speaking of spot light I need to oil mine.
Find the right cop with that car, let me know how it goes. Personally, most will not care, its going to be the cops in BFE that get bent out of shape.
