Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

The dealer my car was purchased went through a lot of names. I guess their service changed too because my last experience still pisses me off. About a week ago, the car was brought in for the leaky head gasket and a 60,000k service. Wrote those on the envelope... two days later my car is ready. They replaced sway bars, sway bar links, fixed the gasket problem, inspected breaks, tires and a lot of other stuff. Car drove he best it had in a long time.. except for one thing. I had vibration in the steering wheel.. like I could feel the front passenger wheel rotating and vibrating even under breaking. So I called the advisor on my reciept.. and he ended up being the biggest asshole. I described the car, what it was brought in for, headgasket and 60k and the problem I'm having with the vibrations..he replies
"You know how many red focus sedans I see in a day?"
So I restate the description again
"Is this the focus with all the changes, euro tailights, and a PIPE?"
Uhh yea...
"We didn't do a 60,000k. You guys didn't say write that you needed one. I don't remember doing one."
I wrote it on the envelope of the night drop, right next to my description of the headgasket problem..
"Well I don't know what car your talking about. We didn't do a 60,000k"
Getting irratted so i asked about the vibration..
"All we did was rotate the tires, we didn't do anything else. Your tires were chopped up, so we switched them. Thats what you could be feeling. We didnt no anything else. But playing guessing game over the phone isnt going to cut it. You can bring the car down tomorrow and I'll have someone take a look at it but we stand 100% by our work"

- He argued that we didn't write 60,000k service needed and that he had the envelope in front of him.. BS cuz I filled the envelope out and even asked my brother to check it before dropping it off.
- Wants to have someone look at it.. I'm not gonna pay $95 to have someone test drive my car for a minimum one hour of labor... for a problem I didn't have before bringing the car in
- Chopped up? Pipe? Rude as hell, unprofessional and defensive
- Service Manager never called me back about my concerns

Tried retorqing the lug nuts today, strangley my lugs on that wheel went from being a good fit in a 13/16 before the dealer to a 3/4 today. They get stuck in the 13/16 socket..
Had a hell of a time getting the wheel off even without the lugs, I just gave up. This dealership can go to hell...

Man I'm surprised I still understood you with all these drunk posts your making, lol. I know Rob, you've been had my back and helped me out with my car before. I got time tomorrow, I might bring it up to you if you don't have a hangover or I might consider going to Tousley.

I'd seriously go down and talk to the Service Manager. If he's a dick, and denies problems, that occured AFTER you sent it in for work, then tell him your going to get the BBB involved. All ford dealerships are proud of their good standings with the BBB, this SHOULD work quite well.

It's a woman, and I gave her a call, left my number and contact info and everything. She did not call back..

I'm guess I'm stuck and gonna have to pay for a problem I didn't have before going there.

This is why

A.) You NEVER drop your car off after hours
B.) Bring it to a service center at a Stealership, if your car is out of warranty then don't bring it back to them, find a local small, reputable, word of mouth, mom and pop shop
C.) Or do the work yourself.

If it's warranty go to a dealer, if not go somewhere you trust.

I know of at least one really good independent shop, Wildwood service in Mahtomedi. They are about five minutes from Tousley and they do good work.

There are some things that you really do need to go to a dealer for but for the most part you can avoid it.

Or start learning and fix it yourself, no better way to learn than by doing it.
