a little top heavy but what can you expect for a crossover. It a fun vehicle. Just wish it had a better towing capability.

These are the numbers I found! They are conservative from edmunds.com

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
4 Dr GT Turbo Wagon
Horsepower: 220 hp
Torque: 245 ft-lbs.

2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser
GT 4dr Turbo Wagon
Horsepower: 230 hp
Torque: 245 ft-lbs.

2007 Mazda MAZDASPEED MAZDA3
Grand Touring 4dr Wagon
Horsepower: 250 hp
Torque: 280 ft-lbs.

The pt gt and the srt4 have oh so much in common, also, don't belive all the edmunds numbers.

The srt4/ptgt are under rated. There is such a huge ass aftermarket for them both, and, the pt is considered a granny getter. After the accident, with the pt, the insurance is still less then the focus before the accident.

The newer pt gt's are fugly as hell though. I liked the 03/04's the best.

I am sure the insurance on the mazda is going to be up there, the mazda 3 is driven I bet by a lot of young folks, add a turbo and that insurance prob kills.

I dunno. I kinda like the styling of the mazda but I like the off the gorund no head lights in your eyes at night shit too. If I was going to buy brand new and money was no object, chrysler 300c with the srt trim. Nothing says hello like a 425hp large displacement v8 with rwd and a living room in the car.

If money was not an object then I would get this, But it is so I can only afford to have the Mazdaspeed3 and Focus ZX5

Bentley Continental GTC

Sorry Scotty but the PT's are fucking UGLY!!!!!

Also i'd take a lighter car like the MS3 over a top heavy tank that the PT is.

Lighter is not always better. Lighter does not always mean faster, lighter does not always mean better handling.

well its not that much of a difference, MS3 is 3100, where as the PT GT is 3300 but all else equal the MS3 is still a better looking car, better handeling, and still more HP/TQ.
