ARG....I just got my "Focus Central Cat" from a member on Focal Jet and guess what it is an ORP instead of a High Flow Cat. GRRR>>>ARRGG...AHH ok enough venting lol

I had the worst time dealing with this person so I really don't want to send it back.

So now I am at a stand still. I have a JBA short header and the focus central orp.

If I continue with this route I need to get a MIL Elim. Yet will the exhaust sound horrible with this setup?

My current exhaust is a Borla Cat back without resonator.

That is why I did not go with a race header since it would be awfully loud.

Maybe I should sell or trade the mess for something else.

Help! Input needed!!

if you ran a race header with your exhaust just put in 18' resonator and it should sound close to what it was before u took out the cat

for one. the jba shortie dose nothing for performance , its been proven time and time again.two i ran a long tube 4into 1 rice header and never once got a malfunction indicator lamp becuse of it, it did run a touch rich but no light. the best thing you can do is run the ofp and stuff a glass pack in the mix.( a glass pak has always been a resinator) and they re cheep.

The Install went well. Although there is now a leak between the header and orp. So I hear a lovely sound when pushing down the pedal or it is the orp itself. Anyway its a nice loud buzz. To top it off it is ungodly loud. I thought oh maybe it will be a nice loud but it is loud. From the online clips of race headers it sounds that loud. Personally though I have not heard one expect for at the Dyno Meet a while back. But to me it is too loud.

I also used some high temp paint just for a temp finish well that is peeling off already lol. I am enjoying all of this fun.

I think I am going to put the stock cat back on for now and let it be for the time being.

kids now-a-days...... must do more research before dumping money on wurthless moding. a leson i learned. 1. no use in freeing flow of the exhuast unless the intake is free flowing. 2. the motor will only move as much air as the head and cams and valves will alow. 99% of intake tubes are a joke, why spend 200 bucks on a 2 1/2 inch tube that costs 2.00 bucks a foot to buy? and it only makes noise!, a cai has the potential cus it draws cold air. a shorty header does nothing, the length of a header is the tuning of it, it helps scavenge the cyls of exhaust and there fore helps draw more new air in. a off road pipe is to free the system of the restictive cat, thats it!!!!!!!!! with a cat back and a header and a cold air intake on my old motor i made a whooping 4 horse and a astounding 6 foot pounds at the wheels over stock.....stock for my car was like, 105 horse and 90 -100 ftlbs....fuckin wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! put yer money into head work, cams, finall drive gearing, fuel, the reasone this things cost alot is cus they freekin work. and i know its hard to execpt but chrome does not add horse power.

Pretty sure that he is not looking to get crazy power. It doesnt take a moron to figure out that you're not going to get much out of an exhaust system and an intake. He probably just wanted the satisfaction of doing it himself.

Also, to me: head work, cams, final drive gearing, fuel < forced induction. Yeah it's the easy way out, but it's been proven to work

Indeed... I enjoy tinkering with my car. It is a great way to learn about how it works. Now my idle is a little weird. I love trying to fix it. If anyone might take a look at the meet I would appreciate it. The exhaust is shaking. This was not a problem before I did the header install lol.
Oh messing up my car is my gift.
