So my dad shows up Saturday morning and my son and I hop in the truck and we head up 35, about 3 miles South of Forest Lake the trailer blows out the right front tire and the right rear is down to 20 psi (they were checked the night before and were fine).
Anyone ever changed a tire on an enclosed trailer with semi's flying by at 70mph on the other side? It's rather nerve wracking.
So we change the blown out tire and get to the next exit and fill up the one thats low, Then run across to the other side where there are two trailer sales/service shops, One is closed, one has no one in the shop and doesn't have a tire anyways.
So we go into Forest Lake, Tires plus can't even look at the tire for a leak for like 2 hours (real freakin helpful) so I walk over to Car-X and the guy says no problem so we pull the tire and they can't find a leak so on it goes again and we run to Wal-mart (no tire) Tire shop (no tire) Finally we go to Northern and they have one premounted on the shelf for $100.00.
So we got to the show about 2 hours late.
BUT, after parking three blocks away and unloading the car in a parking lot we fire it up to warm it up for the short drive.
Let me tell you, a built inline six with open exhaust will draw a crowd in a hurry!! That little car sounds downright Nasty. We had my son sit behind the roll bar and drove down the street with everyone in the area staring and smiling.
Great show and lots of really cool cars, I'll see if I can post up some pics later.

how about a few hints for those of us who have no idea what kind of car your dad has?
also, you can rock regular car tires on a trailer (if they come small enough) my uncle did that on his trailer, and he said it tracked better and got better fuel economy too

This be the beasty,

It's a '61 Austin Healey 3000, 3.0 straight six stock was 148 hp now a bit over 250. This car was built from the ground up as a vintage racer with a full cage, Jag discs front and rear, dropped and lots of other goodies.
The engine pic is from a different Healey because I don't have one of his up on Photobucket yet but it's similar.

Being that its a straight 6, I am guessing its much like other straight 6's, its got a lotta tq? I know no matter what with mine, its got a 4k rpm power band, 4500 if you find the right cam. I'd like to hear what it sounds like.

The one in the pic is a bit more modded than my dads, That one is running an aluminum head and webber carbs, I'll see if I can get a pic of his engine soon.
I do have quite a bit of video both trackside and from a roll bar mounted cam, some on VHS and some DVD.
Who's having a meet where theres a home theater?

The thing pulls like mad across the board, He's usually got the rev limiter set at 6500 and it's still pulling strong when it hit's the limiter.
I'll see about getting it to a meet one of these days, it's "technically" street legal if you put the mufflers on it but it's not real strret friendly with the aluminum flywheel and racing clutch. Beside we have been chasing that damn oil leak all year with no luck.
