Hello

I am deciding if I want to buy a used Focus Central cat from a Focal Jet member or if I should buy a new RT Cat from McNews.

Any Input? Has anyone run a FC Cat? I currently have a JBA short header and stock cat (soon to be replaced either way) and a Borla exhaust.

Neither, buy a long tube header, I think focinite still has his. If you still want a cat, I got a high flow I don't think I will be using 8)

I had a FC cat on my focus for the life of my car. I also switched to an OBX long tube header but quickly changed back. The reason being, I hated the exhaust note that the OBX put on my Borla system. Being that my car was NA, the long tube header really wasn't showing much of a difference than the FC cat. I'm sure with some boost or headwork the longtube header would yield more gains.

I will tell you this, I absolutely LOVED the way my car sounded with the FC cat and Borla exhaust. Hoped that helped some.

Fordfocuszts you were the reason I decided on a Borla exhaust since you said it was good at the dyno day a while back.

If it sounds even better then, I shall have to buy that part then. Unless sc0tty8 is going to sell me his!

how much you want for that? is it about the same size as a regular one? I might need it if it really is my header hitting on something while going over bumps

Randy your car sounded GREAT when you pulled out last night! I love the tone of the borla, I wish my car sounded that nice :(. It would sound excellent with the new cat, as Mikes car sounded sweet also.

I wouldn't bother to buy one for the rear, just weld in some 2x3 tubing;)
