Well, I had a final problem with my car today. Was doing the last thing before starting it up, bleeding the clutch. Go figure the hole strips out. So now I'm gonna pull it into work and just pull the trans there in a final night to finish and swap in a new slave cylinder. Oh well. Also, my bolts (the 4 that hold the hood on) where siezed in and broke off, inside, while doing this swap. Any idea on what to do to remount my hood? I was thinking drill the snapped old bolts out and maybe heli-coil? Let me know what you think.

But, I took my car off stands for the first time. While it was on stands I added a Mach 1 lip and made my brakes look pretty. Holy crap, the front of my car looks SUPER aggresive now, and has zero ground clearance. From the middle of my bumper to the ground now, I have 3.5" of clearance, hehe. That is with it only partially settled. Plus the kaminari bumper sticks out farther, so I need to be VERY careful now. Looks fin sweet though!

The bolts are broken off in the hood? If there is enough material sticking out, I'd try to weld something on it, or, hit it with penatrating oil, let it soak in, and go after it with a pliers, I dunno, worth a try. New hood??

Like inside the holes. They broke it looks like. The hole depth to put a bolt in is only like 1/4" instead of like 3/4"

Try drilling the hole larger and re-thread for larger bolt? I know them ford hood bolts suck ass, such a tiny ass bolt in there....If you decide to drill, get a GOOD drill bit, and drill at slow speed. I liked the irwin brand I had, and get some cutting oil. If you take your time it should be cake, just make sure the pitch of the tap matches the pitch of the bolt.

Hey Nils, you want to know how to get rid of that little spot where the lip bows in at the center?

Looks great BTW.

Maybe you can try fiberglassing new nuts in the hood? Or you can try drilling them out, but I would be careful. One of the bolts broke off, about a year after I owned it. I have no idea how? I just noticed one was broke one day, and it snapped off inside the hood. It didnt make it any less sturdy, so I left it.
