Nils,
Give me a call tomorrow if you need a hand. I bet we could get it mounted in, axles on, and most of the lines hooked up in a couple hours, if the engine is already out.

That's what I hope. I'll call ya tommorow. All that is left is finish pulling the axles, and pull the damn thing out.
Then swap some parts onto the new engine (IM, TB, Coil Pack, UDP) drop it in and hook it up

Well the blown motor is out, all the aftermarket stuff is off. The parts needed for the new block are pulled and installed on it. The tranny is pulled. Everything is prepped to go back in
Hang up: The clutch is pretty fried and the pressure plate needs to be turned. The clutch is hopefully getting redone through a friend who knows someone who can do it, the PP is getting refinished tommorow at work. I hope to get the clutch back by wed. afternoon so we can bolt the tranny up, drop it in and finish it up.
Definately on the downhill slide though
Well a few more days and I should be up and going again

The Story as posted on MNSC:
Well as some of you know, I blew my engine two saturdays ago. The reasons are unknown still but the hunch is a misfire caused by melted plugs (which melted for unforseen reasons) causing my bottom end to go.
From the start:
Had the car towed home after it died.
Pulled the plugs to do a comp test and they looked like this, which scared the crap out of me and led me to only think bad things (the ones pulled are on top, note this where new about two months ago and I only sprayed with them twice):

So then I went ahead and did a comp test with the results of: 124 135 105 125
Normal compression is 160 I was at that during winter. So time for a new block, because it is more cost efficient to buy a new engine then rebuild.
The Start:

So, I started to pull all the hoses and unclip everything. Remove the intake ducting, header, etc. etc.

How my exhaust ports looked:

Wheels are off, to pull the axles to make the engine able to come out with the trans attached. (Sorry for the blurryness, damn humidity)

During this the new engine arrived:

After about 3 nights of tinkering, running to buy more and more and more tools, and the help of some focus guys (Rob, Rod, Nick (zurno), Mike and (Bob) Edge2.4T) we got the thing pulled on saturday.

It looks so naked:

Well we began swapping parts onto the new engine (which will have just bolt ons and tranny stuff, no more cams or nitrous, I need my car to get me places for a while)
Once we removed the Tranny to swap over we noticed that my Stage 4 Clutchmasters and my Pressure Plate were toast. A set back, but what can you expect I guess.

Thank fully I work for Ford so I picked up a new PP for cheap and Bob got me in touch with a guy by the name of Trevor, AKA "The Clutch Doctor" who can replate my clutch. I dropped it off tonight and it should be ready in a couple of days. This was a blessing as he charged me 10% of the clutches worth to rebuild it
So as of now it sits until the clutch is done. Just figured I would update what was happening as a lot of people where curious.
And the gravy shot, my dirty ass:

The car while running for good meausure. Won't look like this anytime soon though as once it runs it goes in for paint

As of now, I will update and call people when stuff is happening. Trevor is going to call me as soon as he gets the new plates in for my clutch, which will tell me when I'll get it.
thanks guys!

Nil's, WTF do I see around the TB inlet on your intake?? Please tell me you are not using silicone in place of the stock o-ring gasket.

I'm thinking sunday again to finish up. My clutch will get here thurs, maybe I'll do some then, I'll let ya know.
Steve, Roman did that, the stock gasket was in there, he did that stuff in addition everywhere. Don't ask me, it's all cleaned out now.
