well.....I am leaning strongly towards a Yaris hatch. I may or may not sell the ZTW. I really dig the little beast. Probably in the fall, unless a sport version of the hatch gets put on the assembly line for 08. 2288lbs...won't need much to get it to scoot
. There's a brewing aftermarket, and plenty of euro parts. I figure the worst mpg I could get would be 37 hwy....

small cars FTW!
I would rather have a Ka, but Ford of the US and Canada Sucks, can't say North America on this one since Mexico gets it
http://www.ford.com.mx/vehicles/vehicle ... dModel=KA1
vs
http://www.toyota.com.mx/modelos_specs/ ... _yaris.htm
looks like the yaris costs as much as a focus down there, with a Ka costing much less
converts to less than $8000 base price

Well, either I'll sell everything together, or....I'll keep the wagon and make it the project. The wagon is in good shape and good to go another 80K. Remember I just had the compression checked, tranny checked, new brakes/rotors/fluid all around, and new complete timing belt job. Other than a rad flush and an eventual tranny flush....normal maintenance issures, the car is just fine. Sure it has 98k, but 90% of that is all highway...and I switched to Mobile One on the first change.
The car's been dyno tuned/flashed by Jerry of SCT, has fidanza cam gears at 0/0, fc 2pc upd, 00 ported mainfold, SVT intake, full eibach pro system plus suspension and a hybrid magnaflo resonated-MBRP mufflered 2 1/4" exhaust. Not to mention the leather, all power, sunroof, rear spoiler, side air bags, defeatable traction control w/ advance trac 4 whl discs. Exterior has a couple of dings...nothing tragic. Hood has holes from my scoop endeavor...but I have a cf hood to take care of that. Then there's the extra parts....you get the picture. I don't know, but if I sell to someone I know, the parts are included, and the price will be good.
For now though, I'm doing an oil change tomorrow, and maybe an SVT side mirror bodycolor paint upgrade if I have the time.
I just get bored...and I would die for a lightweight 2dr hatch manual to thrash around in, and not have to worry about the gas gauge too much. I drive min 27K a year.....

Yeah, there's been rumor. I suspect Toyota won't knock off the scion tc though. So I'd expect a sportier model, but mostly show. If the hp was upped to say 120, it would be wort it I guess, but I'll believe a turbo when I see it.

After those stupid TV commercials I wouldn't be caught dead in a car named Yaris...

I know what you mean. The S sedan certainly is a nicer looking overall package. But those little boxie hatches have always looked god to me. Why, hell I don't know. I wanted a festiva for the longest time. When the Mini came out I was drooling, but wasn't mutch for the price and stigma. Yaris is, well, just my ticket.
However, I haven't completely committed to the Yaris just yet. I still own Focus, and either it gets paid off and I keep it...or when you see a for sale posting, you'll know what's up.

It looks alot like the GTi. Which I believe thats what it replaced. The Mk4 Golf. They thought the name Rabbit sounds better and would be a better marketing tool then "Golf"
Pants too tight, wheels so bright!
