what's the word on nickle plated chrome headers and Minnesota winters? will the header turn to junk fast....at all...thoughts? experience? thanks 8)

Answering this thread is contributing to the deliquency of Chalon!!! Anyone that answers may be held responsible by his wife (aka the judge the juror and the jailer)

Winters here are hard on chrome. That combined with the heat of the exhaust and i think you'd see discoloration (mostly a rust colored one) although i have not really seen many chrome headers on foci here.
Slower than your stock focus.

Buy something like an OBX and get it ceramic coated at BFi. That would look baller and hold up nice!

I had chrome long tubes on my old 82 mustang, and they started to rust. I didnt even drive it in the winter.

my obx discolored, no *real* rust, its stainless... can buff right off, but a Powder or Ceramic would do wonders

Yep, Boost Factory Inc. They mainly do custom turbo apps, but now they are doing ceramic coating too. It looks Damn good!
