New and improved 05 Focus with an SVT suspension kit and racing stripes.

Image

I really needed something to offset the white wheels so I was looking for a rocker panel stripe. I manage to find this kit on-line. It was easy to install, the dawn dishwashing soap and squeegee trick really works. I was also thinking about hood stripes, but that seemed over the top, especially since you see them on a lot of crappy Dodge NASCAR racer poser wantabes.

FYI - the SVT kit lowered the front barely 3/4 and the rear 1/2 inch, less than I hoped. But it sure handles better now.

Wow, that really doesn't look as low as I'd expect. When did you install, and take the pic? I bet it hasn't settled yet.

I don't ussually like graphics, but great job on yours! Really pulls the theme and look of your car together!

Now, Shorten your antennae and black out your headlights!

Looks good! It took my svt springs a while to settle after I put them in the ST. So you should get a slight bit more of drop after you put some miles on them.

Did the SVT install over the weekend, pic was taken yesterday. I've been trying to hit every bump I can find to break it in. When we measured Steve @ Tousleys SVT with the same wheels and tires as mine his was 1" lower at both ends. So there's still hope it will settle somewhat.

No auto X this weekend, I may go to the one on 7/15 at DCTC or the hill climb on 7/8.

The hill climb is full for late model cars and the event details were sent out yesterday so I don't know if you can get in still. But show up and see if there are any open spots the day of the event. O2designs get ready for a kind of hard course this weekend if it is in any way similar to the last event at Central Parking.

NEED MORE PICS!

Hard as in difficult to drive? Or hard on teh car? I was still undecided on what car I was gonna take...The Focus, or the SVTC.

Dificult to drive, it was so short and had limited visibility so you couldn't look as far ahead as you would normaly want to. You'll see when you get there Sunday. I think the ol'Contour would be great to see out there. But with a very short and curvy course the focus may be a little faster.
