I'd say use stock rotors and find a better pad? You got great brakes...I'd also recommend bleeding the whole system, when I bled my fronts, the fluid looked like really dark cola  I still need to bleed my whole system, I need to do a lot of things....

Bat Inc has a big-brake kit but it runs something like 500$+ for it.

If you replace your rotors, don't go crossdrilled, IMO, junk.

i run brembo stock replacment rotors with hawk pads and the stopping power is amazing compared to stock, the whole setup ran me around $140 43 each for the rotors from tire rack and i got the pads from a guy on ebay for 45 new sealed, if you want i can get his username, he also sells the rear pads.

I got hawk pads up front.

98, your car is a non-svt though, isn't it? The svt has upgraded brakes compared to a reg focus....

Stick with standard rotors, if you drive alot, slotted or dimpled rotors will just wear out your pads faster. I'd say get non-pig skin, IE ones that aren't made in china. NAPA has some good rotors from Canada, those are the ones I ran in my sedan, with EBC greenstuff pads.

So I'd say just use standard rotors and the EBC pads and you'll be good to go.

a tip is to find temp range , you want a steet pad to come up to its heat range quick and stay there but not over heat thats the theroy behind sloted and drilled plus the slots and holes clean the surface of the pad( remove a small layer) . the svt rotors are a great rotor but the pads are not all that good.. i would run a ebc green or red, or hawk pads they seem to work well with street drivin conditions. a race set up will not come up to heat during pad seating at any speed under 100, and they will cold fade on the street.

are you on crack? the highest speed my racing pads need to be seated at is 55mph, not 100mph. Not to mention most tracks are designed where most of the corners aren't anywhere near 100mph.

yeah but your not runnin slotted rotors the heat builds up faster...der! and i need fix sumptin, here ,if you were to run a full on race set up it would not work all that well on the street do to not heating up to temp and also cold fade... cold fade is where the rotor is not staying in the temp zone and as the brakes are apllied they fade in revers .... sorry

Chris, Chris, Chris, Don't make me come over there :x

For all new OEM stuff it is $340.86, pads and rotors front and rear.

If you ask around n the Jet in the SVT section you will get a majority consensus to stick with the OEM stuff unless it's a track only car in which case you may want a different pad.

The only issue with the stockers is dust, When Road and Track did a hot hatch comparison the SVT brakes came out far above any of the others and they even said they had the brakes so hot that smoke was coming out of the wheel wells and they were still not experiencing any fade.

You may find cheaper but you will be hard pressed to find better.

if Justin doesn't buy the SVT brakes in a reasonable amount of time, a set may be up for sale

dunno if they work on the 05 though
