When ever I get out of my car after going for a drive when I go to grab the door to shut it I get a pretty good shock. I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and what causes the issue?

Yeah it happens to me too. Its because your butt rubs around on the seat.

Ahhhhh my long time nemesis ESD.
Well as humidity will increase here over the next few months ESD issues will become less freuquent. ESD (Electro Static Discharge) or static electricity is inversly porpotional to humidity (pure water does not conduct electricity). The best way to prevent this problem is to spray your seats with a antistatic spray (these are fairly common). SInce i am cheap i just touch the metal ring on my car keys to the door or other metal part of the vehicle as i exit ensuring contact wiht my skin and the metal of the car via the ring. This will dissipate the static charge and not cause the shock you normally feel. Winter time with dry air that occurs is generally the worst time for static issues (I hate being shocked).
Slower than your stock focus.

If you get really board, you can make a noen-light light up (the little one's like at Radio Shack). Hold one lead in your fingers and touch the other lead to ground, than get out of your seat and enjoy!!...
