Re: possible cylinder head install plus other parts install/g2g?
i cant say i know much about your car, but if its ok i would like to come by to learn, hang out and maybe help if possible You'd be more than welcome. I'm going to go ahead and say we'll do this on the 29th (Saturday). It honestly shouldn't take too long. The oil pump gears won't be here yet so it'...

Re: possible cylinder head install plus other parts install/g2g?
would during the week day/evening or during the weekend work better for you guys? I'll be back in school full time by the time this starts, but that still only means three day a week so my schedule is pretty much wide open.

Re: possible cylinder head install plus other parts install/g2g?
they'll send you to school up here?? I can't remember if you were reserve or guard, but in active duty the only way anyone would let you into any schools aside from A/BNOC is with a court order I'm not a beer drinker myself, I do ciders, so I'd have to take requests before anyone heads out

cylinder head install plus other parts install/g2g
Alright, so I've got a frpp cylinder head on it's way through steve. Once it gets here it's off to MAPerformance for coatings and possibly a little more port work. In 2.5-3 weeks time I'll have the cylinder head, cfm oil pump and all three poly mounts to put in. Would anyone out there be interested ...

Cylinder head coating
I'm running out of luck trying to find a place locally that does thermal and friction coating on cylinder heads. Anyone know of a machine shop anywhere in Minnesota that for sure does coatings?

Re: something HAD to happen
I'm going to see about how soon I can use a tow after signing up for AAA :) I'd love to get this taken care of tomorrow, but I just don't think it'd be feasible for me, my dad took his truck out of town for the weekend and I can't pick up the new idler until monday anyways. hopefully I can get this ...

Re: something HAD to happen
Yeah, that's what I figured. I was just hoping someone had figured out a shadetree technique to finagle it out and get a new one in. Next question, as a towing service will cost me easily $150-200, does anyone out there have a tow dolley they could help me out with? I could pay, we'll say $40? And I...

something HAD to happen
So. What's the easiest way to replace the timing belt idler pulley? lol, but seriously. I can't tell whether the bolt backed all the way out or if the it just snapped off, but it's all sorts of messed up now. I'm not anywhere near my dads garage, which is where all my tools are, I'm at the bottom of...

Re: Just finished on dyno
it's 159.3hp and 135tq. and I said "I CAN'T say that I'm disappointed." I probably could have worded that better ;) I'm RATHER pleased with the results, it's honestly quite a bit more that I was expecting. And it hasn't actually been tuned on a dyno, but I do have a generic SCT tune in the...

Just finished on dyno
so I got the car in to the dyno today. Because I started running lean past around 6k we opted not to tune the ecu yet, as he was convinced that I need new injectors because they were pegging out (I honestly don't know), so we just messed with the cams today, but I can't say that I'm disappointed wit...

Re: cylinder head/intake manifold g2g!!!
will do. Honestly I'm a little scared though. I took a leap of faith in buying the cylinder head, in that it is a mild port with ceramic coating, but the port was done by hand by the guy I bought it from who "supposedly" made decent number with a similar head without the coating. We'll see...

Re: cylinder head/intake manifold g2g!!!
As of right now it has virtually no power under 2500rpms. I was definitely expecting a loss down low, but not necessarily that much. But then again, with as much changed, and with the cams still sitting at 0-0, I REALLY nude a tune. When i wind it out it no longer chokes at 5800-6000. Definitely wan...
