Re: BIR MAP Proving Grounds
The Miata a 1.6 or 1.8? High 14's just seems slow with boost to me. I figure if you boost something it better be in the 13's at least being a decent all motor car can do that. Boost should be faster. Never seems to work that way though unless the car was boosted from the factory. It's a 1.8 with st...

Re: BIR MAP Proving Grounds
The Miata is very slow right now but that is only because we have a very conservative tune in place so that we could work our way up the RPM range. We do this by tuning the lower RPM range while using a spark cut rev limiter. We slowly step our way up the RPM range making sure that everything is tun...

Re: BIR MAP Proving Grounds
Were you in the Silver SVT with the busted bumper? Or were you in the black focus in your signature?

Re: BIR MAP Proving Grounds
I was hoping to do that too, but unfortunately my tune wasn't where it needed to be. Even more disappointing is that I had already paid for the Autocross but wasn't able to participate. Good thing the fees weren't to high. What were you driving? Focus?

BIR MAP Proving Grounds
Did any of you go to MAP's Proving Grounds at BIR? It was a fun event I missed all of the competitions I was going to participate in because I blew a coolant hose and had a boost leak. Thankfully they were kind enough to let me do some tuning runs down the strip while they were getting everyone matc...

Oh yeah, I remember you. You were the one with the Star Wars T-Shirt. You were showing us some of the new exterior changes you had made on your focus.

Re: Team TechnoRally
Nice. Graham built the cage for the Tib. He did a great job. I'm hoping to get back up to his shop sometime soon. I have been working on my Miata trying to get the power planted to the ground. We had some trouble with spinning the clutch at 5K in 4th and 5th gear. I swapped the flywheel, clutch and ...

Don't really know if any of you follow Rally America but my friends and I spent the weekend up in Duquette participating in the second Nemadji Trails rally of the year. Check out the link for more info on our experience.

Re: Timing Tools
CrazySVTChick,
Come to think of it, if you no longer have a use for the timing tools let me know if you'd like to sell them.

Re: Timing Tools
Sorry it has taken me such a long time to respond but I wasn't quite sure when I would have a garage space to do the change. I live in downtown St. Paul but I don't have a garage of my own. I will be doing the change down in Prior Lake in my friend's pole barn. My plan is to do it this coming weeken...
