Dyno Time Bitches

Here's the deal. I know Shane, some of you may, he's a well known Hondata tuner, and was at Elite. Well he is now switching venues and opening a new shop. The shop is called DB Performance.Shane is co-owner with Dan. The shop has been around since 2002, but it was in a smaller location and Dan mostly just did Ford cars. Dan has all the SCT software for Fords. It will be in Rogers right off of I-94. It is an AWD Dyno Dynamics with twin eddy load control retarders, so that we can simulate street tuning also.

I asked him about the numbers on the dyno dynamics, as I have not yet ran on one:

It is lower like a Mustang dyno, possible even lower. We will probably offer Dynojet style numbers also, if people want them. I have a bunch of cars that I have dynoed at Elite on that Dynojet and will see how the numbers compare. We can program corrections into the Dyno Dynamics software. No dyno numbers are real though. I can't say that a Mustang, Dynojet or Dyno Dyamics number is better. I know that the Dyno Dynamics is a much better tuning tool than the Mustang and Dynojet though.

Price (which is a STEAL IMO): $60 for 3 Pulls w/ wideband o2. I paid 60 for 2 pulls on rons mustang, this is a much nicer dyno, plus you get an extra pull.

Sound off if you are interested. I want a rough headcount so I can call him and set a date, it will most likely be a sat, or sun afternoon.

Also as I'm sure you can tell, we know have a new tuning option other than high tec. SCT = W00t.

Any questions, let me know.
Nils

Can they tune cam gears there as well and flash the stock ECU for a complete tune? I am looking to dial in all mods into a single tune. I will hopefully have a race header too or atleast my hiflow cat back on. Not 100% sure how soon I can do this, maybe by May. So I might not be able to make the group session.
Also, if you could find out what the tuning cost would be/ballpark, that would help.

$60 for three pulls is a good price.

If you make it Saturday I will go. I work all day Sunday. And ofcourse later April. I won't have my car back till around the end of March to beginning of April. Then acouple weeks to insall all my stuff...LOL
I've already got a Xcaliber2, so maybe he can help me tune this bad boi.

I will have to talk to him, but my dad might also be interested. He wants a chip for his ZTS. So if you can get a price on a SCT chip and program, he might be willing to go along with his.

I'd be interested, but it depends on the date, as I'm hoping to finish up my exhaust before doing anythign on a dyno.

and yeah a price if they can do it for an SCT chip and program would be great.

Ok, here's some quick clarification. This is ONLY a dyno day. That means your car goes on the dyno, does it's pulls and comes off. No tuning, No work on your cars is done, ETC. The reason we aren't doing tuning is we would be there ALLLLLLL day. If you need them to tune your car, work on it etc. Have it done some other time. I just wanna see who wants to get some numbers out of their cars.
