It all depends on your goals and what kind of power delivery you want.

If you want low end, roots-type blower.

Over all high output power on 4cyl, turbo.

Overal high output, no holds barred, v8 twin turbo.

Thats not right. With a properly sized turbo you can have great low end. My old car had 230 ft lbs at 3000 rpm's

Roots-blower your in the powerband at 2k-2.5k. Look at the dynos.

Spinning tires doesn't make for a fast car.

The main point is you don't need that kind of power at 2k. At 2,000 rpms, with boost you're going to break your tires loose launching. If you're shifting for speed, you're an idiot if you let your rpms drop below 3,000. It's why the T3 Super 60 is one of the perfect turbos for the focus.

Well it really doesn't matter if you reach full boost and the torque band at 2500 rpm when that torque is 160.
