Anything special to look out for? How about the lash n such? Any bolts that need to be replaced? I was looking arund, I have not found a clear cut answer to this, so, I am thinking I will wait til the cams get here, see what the directions say, and take it from there.

I have the tools needed to do the job, except for maybe a feeler guage, but, that is no biggy, I think they are like 15$ around these parts.

I am also thinking of skipping out on the adjustable cam gears since I don't plan to go to the dyno until I got my svt intake mani installed. Then, I might add nos and call it a day 'til it cooks and maybe work up to a v8 conversion

talk to loius zerr, he knows his cam swaps, and make sure you have the right socket for the job, and all will go well! all it takes is a trip out to mayer!

Maybe I should PM him, I am only 20 min from hutch and I think mayer is another 20 min from there, but, the way I drive

I ought to hit him up...

Oh, get ARP cam bolts, the stock ones are torx bits and they suck ass. The ARP ones are like 30-40 bones, but well worth it. I am referring to the 2 that hold the cam gears on the end of the cam btw.

I have found them for 50 bones or so-ish. I might hit up fsaternal in hutch and see if they got something close to the specs, or, find stockers, I have a rail of torx bits out in the garage. I believe I have the t 55 and t50, I think the sotkcers are on of the 2.

But if need be, I can wait and buy the right bolts, I don't want a rush job, remember, you can get the job done quick, cheap, or, fast, only choose 2

How was the drive? Not bad...I really like them cams for tearing ass thru the wally world parking lot, man, ppl can not drive!

I sorta fixed the exhaust squeek, the heat sheild is all fucked up and rubbing against the pipe, it does it still, but, not as bad....I should just tear the bitch off :) The old lady says the car drives funny and idles "really hard".

Yeah i have a set of those, it didn't work. We even snapped am E-Z out tool. that one will have to be ground out of there. We spent hours on that damn thing. we even made a slot in it and used an impact driver with no luck.
