Just curious what you think should be my first mod to my focus? Ive been reading on some sights and i keep getting 2 different stories on air intakes? I have aem cai and the pippercrss intakes are the best, but they havethe possibility of sucking water do to there low intake point? any thoughts?

If you are set on a true Cold air intake, get a AEM and add an AEM bypass valve. Then water can not get into your engine bay if it sucks it up. If you do this, you then need to give me your stock intake snorkel...

^^ yea, i'd go wit the AEM+bypass if i was gonna go cold air.... but maybe during spring time, i'ma get myself an Black HIA SRI...

I would go with an AEM intake + bypass too, even though I favor short rams because it eliminates the risk.

This is gonna be a dumb question, but what's the benefit from using the SVT snorkel? I got rid of my stock one non SVT for the intake install.

I'd replece that SVTF with a focus with a 2.0 duratec then add all the cosworth goodies to make it fast.

I'd rather have a 2.3 duratec

I pick up my svtf on the 15th..... Its gonna be my daily driver year round..... SNOWIES on the 5 spokes and svt euro wheels for summer I cant wait...

I really like the 6 speed aspect.... Plus the cosworth kit isnt cheap.. i love the kit though , been reading up on it ..

I'm throwing the SVT snorkel in mine to mate up right to my SRI. Benefit is the diameter is about double that of a non-svt one. It basically means quite a significant amount of added cold air to help your car breath a tad bit better. I want it for added air flow to help my car get a tad colder air, and possibly give it a little more air when I spray into it. It's like $25 or so from Steve, I just need to run out and get it from him.

I run a short ram on my SVT, I love it. I would reccomend getting a Stage 2 ported/bored TB from SVT Salvage.

I have one on mine and it rocks, there is a link in the tuning section here find the thread on Ported SVT TB's.

Is the butterfly the correct size for it? I don't want one of them ghetto engineered ones that have a butterfly thats too small...

Both of the SVT TB's I have are running the stock SVT butterfly, I just removed the two humps from the floor of the TB with a dremel, They both work perfectly, and much better than stock.

The only reason I don't have one of them on my car is that I now have a Stage2 bored TB, It's a stock SVT TB with a 2mm overbore and a billet throttle plate.

You can have one of my old ones for $30.00, If we can meet up you can even pick the one you want. They are both complete with TP sensor and gasket.

How much to ship one out? I don't get to the metro area all that often, I am sure usps shipping would be cheap, I can paypal you if ya like...
