I've recently been thinking of picking up a 14 SE Hatch as a new Daily Driver.....

Does anyone here own one? On paper they look great especially for the value (they are selling pretty optioned out for low 17s).....

Thoughts?

The E and the T are really close so I can see how you messed that up.

It should say, 14 ST

Meh. The ST is sweet, but not worth 10 more grand to me.... I already have a fast toy car.

You just scared because the ST will smoke your Pony...

I will say though the mk3 focus is really nice. Look into the Fiesta also the size difference really isn't all that noticeable if its going to be you the wife and a couple doggys.

I'll just leave this here.
It's unreliable because the back seat is cramped and the transmission doesn't shift smooth enough for them? Stupid article is a waste of internet bandwidth.

You fail at being a car guy, man card revoked.

The new Focus is a really nice car, if you buy one I'd suggest getting a manual trans, the Powershift works pretty well now that they've got the programming worked out but over the long haul it's hard to beat the reliability of a true manual gearbox.

The back seat issue counts, 4 doors and the back seat has to be useable. My biggest complaint is the second set of doors. Worthless.

Anyway, I heard from a reliable source recently that Pappy had a chronic issue anyway.

You getting Employee pricing through anyone?

If not, I can set you up with Mike Saxon at Inver Grove Ford, he'll take care of you.

A chronic issue or a "chronic" issue?

I still drive my 2002 SVT three door and can get my entire family of five in it if needed, I wouldn't take off on a trip to Florida in it but it's fine around town.
