Nagging repair you haven't gotten to

When I went through the front end of my car this past winter I also replaced the A/C condenser that had been damaged about 3 years prior. I will tell you that it feels awesome to have A/C again.

I need to change the ignition tumbler now (carry a hammer right now to tap it in if it gets ornery with me).

What repairs have you put off or are you putting off and why?

Have you considered greasing the lock cylinder instead of beating it to death?

A little white lith goes a long way to keeping these ignition cylinders working, mines original with 135k on it.

196,xxx and I just use dry graphite.

I don't have time to put a real list together. We'll just say that there's a lot of new parts going into the new car.

FYI, replace that tumbler ASAP. I had one that was acting up a little, lubed it up and it worked great. One day I was running errands, started the car several times and then at the bank, no go. Tried all sorts of things, had to give up and got towed. Can't get the tumbler out if you can't turn the key, so I had to replace the colum with a tumbler. What a pain. Replace yours while you still can.

Mine has started acting up a couple times over the years, as soon as it does I work in a little grease and it keeps going.

FYI-When you buy a new Ford lock cylinder kit it comes with a tube of white lithium grease for assembly.

The only thing on the radar right now for my car is a left rear hub/bearing, other than that it's doing pretty well.

Yeah, I need to spray it with the dry lube or work some lithium into it for now. The good news is that it has over 90K on it now!!! 2002 with just a tad over 90K. Crazy.

The way the weather has been, I would miss my heater a lot sooner than I would miss my air conditioner!
