Like it says. 215-45 17 is the size. Currently have Continental Extreme Contact DWS All season. These have been great tires, but aren't lasting as long as I would like. My requirements:
- Long-wearing
- Excellent handling & responsiveness
- Must be quiet!!!!
- Great wet traction
- I have winter tires, so I don't need good snow traction from these tires
Recommendations, please.

I run potenza 760s they are to date the best perf tire i have ever had. They are road velcro. I have trouble breaking them loose in a high speed entrance ramp .... i have to porposely make them over steer. I have gotten more than a seasone out of them and i drive like a asshole they i think hwve there replacement out this summer and its numbers look to be beter. Other wise there are the pole positions and s-04s.

Let's see: These are advertised as "Ideal for road racing, track days and high performance driving schools...".bflesher wrote:

One of the reviews states, "They're noisy, they're stiff and harsh on public streets and they wear like crazy. Money should be no object when buying these tires because you'll go through quite a few sets a year and with their price, God help your wallet."
No offense, but not exactly what I had in mind.

Not too noisy, stick pretty well, ware ? (mine are still new)
I just don't like the lack of response with then.
Good tire for the money otherwise IMO.
KDW's are loud but more responsive.
You don't want to pay what's on the other rims. They're over $200/each.

The best tires I ever had on my SVT were Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S all seasons, loved those tires.
Kumho ASXs weren't bad either.

Thanks for all the input. Based on the information I received, I think I'll just stick with the Continental Extreme Contact DWS's.

Booooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Look into the potenza line. I know "i hate bridstone tires" . Chances are that in the past some dip shit punk kid talked you into a set of tires that were completely wrong for you car and needs. I am no dip shit.... or a punk kid.... thoses continees are what comes on the car, but you can eclips the performance emensley by stepping up. The 760s that i run are smooth and quite i have them in the stock svt size. And they smeelllllllllll sooooooo goooooood when they smoke!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ther wise look into some firestone seven tens they are a ahhsume ahlseezun tyre and a really really inexspensive.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I still have 3 decent Connies, and I may as well get another season out of them (by buying a 4th tire). I ain't independently wealthy, but would be willing to try another set of tires if you're buying!

+1 for Kumho ASX, inexpensive tires that perform great (in the summer) and last for a long time. Don't care for them in the snow, but I have snow tires too.

The problem with high grip smooth riding and responsive tires that have a long wear life is they are astronomicaly expensive. If a person were to by my tires at retaile it would be over five hundred dollars. Tires are like boots.... you get what you pay for. Red wings and cats arnt cheap wnd neither are top quality tires.
