Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

I picked up a 2003 Focus (dual overhead engine) with an automatic. Shifts fine until it goes into overdrive then goes into "neutral". I had the code pulled but wasn't smart enough to write it down. Something to do with solenoid. Anyone heard of such an issue, what the fix might be, and how involved the repair would be?

When I was quoted almost 1600 dollars to fix my car after overdrive had failed, I looked for a simpler solution online. I found this and with some new transmission fluid it was all I needed to fix my car myself. Took less than 2 hours and I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to fixing cars. Definitely a good buy for me. If you have a 02-03 ford focus you should replace this anyways. It was part of a service bulletin a while back.

Probably a shift solenoid A or B code, they're $31.00 each and we always have them in stock.
