Like it says. My son had a run-in with Bambi, and his old Civic is totaled. Anyone have a good, dependable, commuter car, or know of a good one somewhere?

Jen ( CrazySVTchick ) is selling a black SVT EAP, not sure if you'd consider something like that or not.

Great question. Here's some more info:
1) Price: Prefer under $5k, but could go higher for the right car.
2) Mileage: Prefer something wth low miles, but again, would entertain higher mileage cars (for example: I once considered a high mileage van that was driven exclusively between the Twin Cities and the Mayo Clinic, so these were 'easy miles'; i.e.: low strain on the engine, tranny, brakes, and other systems).
3) Transmission: Strongly prefer manual.

Should be pretty easy to find a used ZX3 with a manual for that kind of money.

Oops, should have posted that my son ended up with a '97 Mazda Protege with low miles. Great MPG, but I think my starter motor has more guts than his engine (85 HP or some such) . Decent car, though.
