As it has done before, the sunroof lost its ability to close properly, which is easily fixable via a 're-initialize' (what Ford calls the "Relearning Function"). As part of this process, it states "Do not release the switch before the moon roof has reached the closed position for the second time". Anyway, in my haste I did not hold the switch down until the "moon roof has reached the closed position for the second time", and now it seems stuck in a "safety mode".

I would assume you tried running the procedure again? Did you try disconnecting the battery to reset the electrics?

Yes, I tried the procedure again, but it does not re-initialize as it should and only moves in tiny increments.FORDSVTPARTS wrote:I would assume you tried running the procedure again? Did you try disconnecting the battery to reset the electrics?
No, I haven't disconnected the battery. I will attempt that tonight (besides, it's about time to revert to the 'base tune' without the adaptive learning adjustments).

I FINALLY got around to fixing this yesterday. After disconnecting the battery, I was able to re-initialize the sunroof. It's all good.
