I have my Xcal for sale. It is UNMARRIED from my ECU (unlocked). Asking $300



I'll try and find the uplink cable. Lost the stupid effing thing. If anything I can buy you a new one from Best buy or knock $10 off the price so you can get one yourself.

If anyone knows someone that will do remote tunes for under $80, I might be interested.

I thought Tom only did Predator tuning?

God I hope not, because he's the one that tuned my car last year.

Looks like he charges $150 for a remote tune.

Does the Xcal come with it's own tune like a Predator does? I know when my Predator boots it says SVT Focus on the screen no matter what I plug it in to.

I doubt you'll find a tune anywhere for $80.00.

Mike at Unique in S.C. tuned mine and did a spectacular job on it, I've tried other tunes but have not found one near as good.

The SVT's can all share a common tune because they all use the same ECU (for the most part). With other Foci there is a myriad of calibrations (for who knows why) and one tuner can't work on all of them ... the location of lets say a MBT spark table varies from calibration to calibration. That is why remote tunes are very common for most Fords, the structure and location of specif things in the ECU changes.

So to answer your question Steve, no the Xcal does not come with preloaded tunes for any standard Focus.

Herm, anyone who tunes Fords should be able to remote tune your car. Maybe you can look on SCT's site and find dealers and cold call them. I have zero first hand with any shop far as tuning goes. I bought the PRP and tuned my own car ... which if you have an Xcal you can buy PRP for $350 from Summit, and make all the tunes you want for your car.
