Rear wiper question

I have an 04 SVT and my rear wiper does not seem to touch the window anymore. Is there an easy fix for this or do I need to buy a new unit? It looks like it is spring loaded but not sure if that is just for when you pull the wiper away from the car.

Thanks in advance!

I would just check and see how much a new One is. You can lube it up and work it back and forth.

You could try oiling it where the arm pivots but odds are you need a new one.

The stock arm alone is $34.31 and I'd have to order it in, the Edge wiper mod is $26.00 and includes a new blade.

I was gonna say just use some TP but then I realized you were referring to your car.

PB Blaster on the pivot, then flex it a bit to loosen it up.
Slower than your stock focus.

One thing about the edge wiper though, I had to clearance mine so the top of the wiper wiped the top of the window.

I was going to pick one up this week for my wifes wagon and was wondering what modifying you had to do?

The Edge wiper doesn't fit the wagon, it's too long.

It's kind of odd but on some cars it hits perfectly and some it doesn't.

Personally I don't care that much, if it lets me see when I need it to then it just has to be good enough to get by until I can wash the whole window again.

Which is quite often, given this is a hatchback! :D My rear window even gets dirty in the summer when there's no rain (dust magnet).

I never have problems in the summertime, must be because I wash my car occasionally. :?

Is there a better looking wiper that fits a wagon or can one be modified to fit?
