Your cameras on the wrong side of the catch fence. How'd you do that?

Sure was fun even if it was a little hot and humid.

Those cars are so far beyond what they were back in the day it's ridiculous, 600hp is normal in that group and the one white Mustang is turning near 9000 rpm from what I understand.

Not real tough to tell Ford from Chevy is it, the Chevys are a much lower note and the Fords shriek.

It should also be easy enough to tell that some of the Vettes are running big blocks.

K, I'll let you in on the secret.

There's a bridge over the front straight right at the top of the hill and if you go over the bridge and stand on the steps on the other side you get that view :)

You really do need to get out there at least once, camp at the track and you really never have to leave the entire weekend.

There's just nothing else like it, racing pretty much non-stop for four days from 9:00am to around 5:00pm, great food on site, best go-karting around.

I can't wait to go back in September. 8)

If I heard the announcer correctly, the javelin won. Gotta love an underdog!

Not much of an underdog really, Mark Donahue won a Trans-Am championship or two in Javelins back in the day.

I was kind of partial towards the Javelin all week end. My brothers first car in high school was a 71 Javelin SST. He still has it by the way. I've talked to him about turning it into a Mark Dohahue tribute car. It's hard for him to get motivated. I think if he went to one of these Classic Trans-Am events he would get the motivation.
