I want something cheap and light in a 16x8 ... what do I look for?

Your best bet would probably be to watch FJ and FF for some used Rotas.

in the FS forum there's a guy trying to get more people to order Rota wheels... those are pretty cheap, light...

Depends what you do to them I suppose but that kind of applies to any wheel.

Try ESM wheels. They have a few. Call them. They custom drill too.

I would love a set of rota slips, but I have heavy ass 18" konigs I bought when I was 16. Nice tires on them though.

Have a 16x9 I kinda like, until I see the weight. Actually all of their wheels are too heavy for what I'm looking for.
