Do the regular braided stainless lines for the SVT fit when swapping the SVT brakes to a regular Focus? CFM told me they require special lines.

Fronts are the same, rears are different. The kit uses non-stock lines in the rear as the standard Focus brake lines won't work with OEM SVT lines.

CFM is correct, at least partially.

What if I am using parts from an SVT, and not the SVT kit?

Stock SVT lines won't work with your drum brake steel lines.

You need custom stainless lines or the ones that FRPP uses which are P/N 5S4Z-2282-BA for $19.79 each :)

I just ordered these from CFM:

I'm surprised there isn't more info about the lines being different. I searched both FJ and FF, and didn't see any mention of it. And there are plenty of people with SVT brakes and stainless lines.
