ok, so I know there is 2 muffler's on these cars, curious if anyone has taken out the one by the tailpipe. what to do and what it sounds like? I know on a Nissan 350 Z it sounds beautiful. but that is a V6, with a somewhat tuned exhaust from the factory

Then you didn't have the volume up enough. 11 should suffice.

It's loud and annoying and 'pop's' which is illegal in MN.
Do it the right way and get a real exhaust, or don't do it at all.

Its a pretty common mod. I did it on my 00 Kona and did'nt have problems with it. It was still rather quiet and never 'popped'.

i have it done to my car. that vid sounds nothing like mine, might be the tail pipe. it's cheap and gives you that bit of noise but not alot. yeah, it gives no real gain. it sounds better under load then just reving it up. jut swing into like a midas on a slow day and talk to one of he guys. i got my first one done for $20
A friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana, I said "No, but I want a regular banana later, so Yeah."

put up a vid of what urs sounds like, I dont want to anything that sounds bad, or will get unwanted police attention..

then again, my first car (1991 Tempo 2.3) had no muffler at all, just the cat, it wasn't loud or obnoxious, just right.

thanks for the vid upload, doesn't sound to bad with a load on the motor. I'll have to look into getting it done up, I suppose it could be done myself, with the right pipes to go with, but if I can get Midas or maybe even a guy I know at Goodyear to give me a deal, ehh; we'll see.
