No more pretty car.

I work at Sam's club in Mankato. Well, someone let a cart loose, and the 20 mph or so wind carried it right up onto the hood of my poor Svt. about 10 scratched 9 inched long, with a nice dent that cracked the paint. The driver side front headlight is also scratched.
Steve, quote from you guys on getting the repairs done with OEM equipment please.
Pics will be up in a bit.
Work might pay for it, I'll find out when i go in tomorrow after my statistics final. If they give me enough money I'll be ordering up a carbon fiber hood. Or maybe just strip the rest of it and rock a rust look on my pitch black car and get some HID's instead. Who knows.

yesah, fail on size
do they have cameras? i think the person that didn't put the cart in it's appropriate spot should be liable

Yeah it's on video. And Sam's club doesn't post signs disclaiming liability in their parking lots. I'm going to see what they want to do, otherwise I will file insurance and get the bumper fixed too since it looks like it may have gotten scratched into the plastic.

Yeah, if they will pay for replacment you could probably get an aftermarket hood and headlights for cheaper than OEM.

I will be filing a (hopefully) comprehensive claim tomorrow. How do I work it so that I can get a check cut by the insurance company and order the stuff myself?

do you have a loan on it? if you do you have to sweet talk the bank into letting you do it. they might let you cause the car gets fixed and they get more money.
just tell them that you're fixing the car yourself. the law says that the money either needs to go toward fixing it or toward the loan. but law gives an owner the right to work on his/her own property
the check will come in your name and the bank's. o they can't cash it with out you and you without them.
i do it all the time

HOLY SHIT!!!!! you will have NO problem. that's my bank too

just have them lock it up om your savings and get what you need when you need it. like i said, i do it all the time. just tell them exactly what you're doing. you might have to show your receipts. there is nothing illegal about doing it that way
