Hey I'm looking for some sugestions on how to fix my headlights. I tried that lense cleaner stuff and it never did anything.
I was thinking of changing the bulbs to something stronger. Or are there replacement projecters for cheaper then housing replacements.

I also think anding foglights would help. Thanks green21

It would be possibly cheaper to just replace the whole headlight.

Anyone have a quote on the price of replacement headlight housing?

Do you need both sides or one side?

Not sure where your located, but if you called Al, he might have a set he'd be willing to sell. Hes in Hastings, if you like, I'll give you his number.

Yes both sides are really yellowish color. I'm down in Mankato. But I would be willing to meet in the cities or pay for shipping.
Thanks green21 :)

you brought up a lens and bulb issue concern...
is it the lens that's yellow? wet sand and polish.
or are you're bulbs shining yellow? hi or low or both? both - it's prolly the ground. either of the others - check bulb or that wire

if you want to replace them we could work some thing out. i need a pair of shitty headlights for the wiring. i'm over in cannon falls, PM if you want too

It's the lens not the bulbs sorry for any confusion. Yes when I get new headlights you can have the shitty ones. :)

Thanks

Thanks but I don't think any amount of sanding is going to help. 8) Also I'm thinking of saving up for some nice projector/halos.

Got any pics of what they look like. Are they a plug and go thing(simple instal).

Can you save them till the end of the month(funds low)right now. Thanks

any reason to put up a pic of the old sedan

They might be PnP. look behind your bumper for a plug tied up not plugged into anything. should be around where they go. if there is then you'll still need a fog light headlight switch and i think the fog light relay (or do the bypass).

on my 07 non-fog equipped car there are (....were) plugs and wires for fogs, but not the right switch or relay. dunno for sure if it's the same for mk1. but that's what tocheck for

If you have the pull out switch on your headlight switch, they will plug right in. If you dont you will have to rig em in.
On my other car i wired them right into the healights, but there are plenty of things you could do with them. I can get pics later. They are ready to be put in, come with the connectors i snipped out of the car i got em from. I can wait till the end of the month.

If your willing to drive to my shop in princeton, i would try sanding/polishing them for you (no charge) I have the supplies and equipment to do it, and i have yet to see a light i couldnt fix.

Other wise i might have a set of good used lights, and also a lower grill with fog lights.
