euro tail bulbs

I have this ongoing problem of the bulbs falling out of the sockets that came with the car. I tried to adjust them with a small screwdriver, but that didnt make it better or worse. The euro tail sockets dont hold the bulb in, so something dont work at times. Possibly they need different bulbs? Anyone know what bulbs the euro setup is supposed to use?

I used RTV sealant on mine. That way it's waterproof and seals. Held up fine until it came time to take them out, they pulled right out.

^How'd you get lucky with the sign even. Damn you're good.
Never seen the euro pigtail but what bulb are you guys using? (guessing 3157)
But the break down goes like this (for the 3157)
It is a Wedge D.F. style base. That means anything else that has a Wedge D.F. base will fit dimension wise. You may have to modify locating pins (I did for my front turn signals, 3156 vs 3157).
The Wedge D.F. bulbs are,

3156 -->

3157 -->

4157 -->

The size of the glass bulb section is a S8.
You'll also notice the wattage/lumens changes with the bulb number. It's another way to get brighter or dimmer lights, though not much.

It's not a bulb issue, it's that the USDM Sockets are quite different than the Euro Sockets. You need to seal them in somehow, the way most do it is with RTV Sealant as o2designs said.....
