Yep,
Mine was not chip tuned, but it was fuel tuned. We worked with it quite a bit to find the proper fuel jetting. My car was rich and safe and it destroyed itself.

Motor had 30k when it popped. Nitrous was definately the cause, you should see the pictures I posted back when I was pulling the motor.

From what I can remember, Nitrous has always meant an eventual tear down of the engine. Of course if the motor was built for it, it would last longer than a stock motor, barring any equipment/fueling/tuning failures for whatever reason.

Pappy also ran it for quit some time before he popped it, and I still think the cams had a bit to do with it also.
And motors are cheap anyways, so I say spray til she pops.

If your really that concerned with blowing the motor don't do the nitrous.
And why even put nitrous on the car anyway?

I have a SVT that ran that funny gas.... I wouldn't recomed it.
It a spendy motor used even.
