They wouldn't, you need to find an old school cruiser for that. I saw one in the back of a minivan lined up for the big Roseville recycling day last weekend.

Mine now fully functional and with a total cost of about $25.00 along with the Raleigh I just picked up for Jake for free and it amazingly needs nothing but bar wrap and cleaning
