I looked through old post and couldnt find any information on the swap.
Yes im sure plently of people do it, but will swapping the shocks and springs from the svt into my zx3 affect the alignment in any way? At the moment it had decent tires on it and id rather not ruin it from wanting the car lower and not spending the money to get ir realigned.
thanks for any help!

Will it affect it much, probably not. But when it comes right down to it, lowering a car is, well, lowering it. It probably won't affect it much, but it's probably for the best if you do. Can't hurt, right?

The place to get an alignment is from Jeff.

He quoted me $70 for a stock alignment, but that was about six months ago. That's a lot cheaper than replacing your tires every six months.

That's not spendy compared to the 700/ year you'd spend on tires if you didn't get it done.zx3pos wrote:yes i suppose. cheapest place around is 75 tho. spendy

Ha, alignment it is then. I want to put them in soon, but need to get it running right first still. Tomorrow night im having a guy that works with my bro look at it. We drove it around for quite some time last night after we put in a new power steering pressure sensor and the ebrake cables and sewed up the bumper. Its weird cause getting up the driveway, pulling it in to work on it, it was boggy and hesitant. After we put the parts in it ran fuckin tits. Idk what to think anymore. None of that stuff would be offiliated with the codes that it was throwing, and we didnt reset them.
Crap, that's a lot cheaper than I expected. I've been putting off calling him because I figured it'd be a lot more than a chain. And I don't trust the chains to do it right.hafftrak wrote: He quoted me $70 for a stock alignment, but that was about six months ago. That's a lot cheaper than replacing your tires every six months.

That's about all it should do, keep in mind that it'll settle a bit as well so overall you should end up about 3/4 inch lower than stock.zx3pos wrote:svt suspension lowered it like only half (1/2) an inch. SAD
The handling should be hugely improved also.
