So today while accelerating my engine all of a sudden sounds like a v8. I knew instantly that the cylinder was misfiring by how it was running and wanted to die when I pulled over. I got it home luckily only 2 blocks away parked it and looked under the hood. The spark plug blew out on cylinder 3. It was dark so I was not able to check if the threads had stripped out or not. I really hope they didn't I need to be able to get to work at 3 tomorrow. If by chance they did strip out does anyone have any advice or know anyone who could help me out I have money just not a ton. Thanks all input would be highly appreciated.

I had that problem on both of my escorts. I just made sure to tighten them down properly, and use a generous ammount of anti-sieze on them, and it never happened again. Check em a couple days after installing/reinstalling for tightness too.

Did you look at it yet? I'd lean more towards the ceramic blowing out of the plug rather than pulling the threads out unless the threads were damaged.

sk8ter, the members of this board would and will gladly help you with your problems.

It has come to my attention though, that you have made efforts to SCAM our members. You owe one of our members $500 for parts that you have not payed for or made any attempts to work out a deal.

You NEED to relieve this issue ASAP.

I do not "SCAM" anyone I am not a dishonest person. Obviously it's apparent that Kyle is very immature if he is completely misleading you and everyone else and making me look this bad. There were several attempts by myself to work out a deal with him. I specifically texted him multiple times asking if there were anything we could do to work this out. I offered up the idea of trading back for some normal focus SVT wheels with no tires...5 spokes....in which he told me he would paint for me. That would very much have evened out the deal and that is the agreement we came to. I texted him several times throughout about a 3 week period in which it was always something. None the less they never got painted or anything. I never ignored texts from Kyle. And you cannot tell me I didn't try. So please don't treat me like a child and please do not call me dishonest. You have a lack of knowledge on the situation. There's always a second side of the story. Dont jump to conclusions.

it's funny how a matter that is handled privately gets brought up publicly when it goes bad and noone knows the actual situation 100% (and could damage some rep). but if the deal was done publicly and went bad it's drama. i'd say, next time keep it out in the open.

so, did you look at it. i've never heard of the whole thing blowing out, you'd need a head if the threads are messed up. let us know

Blown out spark plugs are very common on 5.4L 2v's and 4.6L 2v's, but I have never seen one on a focus. Typically if the spark plug was blown out and ripped the threads out of the head, you should be able to repair it with a helicoil kit. We have one at Tousley, but it is for the f-150's. not sure if it would work

That's why I said it would have had to have been damaged for the threads to be gone, I've never seen a Focus plug blow out either even on the high boost cars I deal with.

I have seen Autolite and Champion plugs fail and blow out the center of the plug though.

And Focusmech is correct, if it is the thread a Helicoil will fix it right up.

How long would that take and would I be able to do it myself? I have work at 3 today so if there is anyway I would really like to get this issue fixed I'm gonna go down right now and see if the threads are stripped out or not.

Until you can figure out what the actual problem is there's not much point giving advice.

If it's just a blown out plug ceramic it's as easy as changing a spark plug, if it is a blow out ceramic I'd change them all out for a set of decent spark plugs.

Well I fixed it. I replaced all the spark plugs and wires. Easy fix. I wonder why in the world the spark plug would just pretty much unscrew itself because thats what happened. No stripped threads or anything fit very snuggly.

First off, Pappy is an Admin. He has every right to do what ever the f*** he wants on here.
Second, Kyle has been on this site, damn near since when it opened, so he has damn near the same rights.
Third, If they want to make the issue public, that is their choice, and being they are an admin and a mod, they should now be bickered back at... Being Monkey, the only reason you opened your big mouth this time, is because of a "private" issue between you and him.
I do agree, I would have don't it a different way, BUT again they have the rights to do whatever they want, being they have been here since ground zero.
I don't know the actual issues between sk8r and O2, but I would probably say that there are some, expecially when it comes to MONEY in a RECESSION. This could be an issue for the both of you...

SO TO FINISH...
Sk8r, I would have probably replied to Pappy in a PM with what happened, because they would have insured your issue remaining PRIVATE.
Monkey, plaese... just stay out of things. If you don't have something constructive to say, then STFU. Otherwise, I'm sure you might not be around anymore. You are pissing a LOT pf people off, and I would hate to lose a member, because of childish games.

MY OPINION, LOCK TOPIC, and Lock Sk8r out of posting, but not PMs until issue is resolved. Nothing aginst you Sk8r, just a general opinion.

<--- Yeah, Toast.

How would the situation have been kept private when Pappy posted on my post? I talked to o2 multiple times trying to figure something out with him, he texted me like maybe 5 times during the whole ordeal and hes calling me a scammer? He hasn't made any efforts and obviously didn't care enough to come through with painting the wheels like we agreed on so why am I the bad person here? I just think this is pretty ridiculous. I like everyone here, including o2. I have no problems with anyone and am not trying to "scam" anyone. I'm not some non english speaking d bag sending shady ass emails on craigslist. I'm simply here for the same reasons you all are.
