Not sure on the 05+, but mine you can reach from down under. It's a rather big nut on the back of the light.

unless you have a cold air intake its not as easy as just reaching up or down to do it... when i did mine and had the stock intake i took the fender liner out to get to it easier.

if your stock with the wonderous lifetime filter, do the above way.
the filter blocks easy access from any other direction.

I am stock with a wonderous life time filter. I ahdn't heard of a lifetime filter before owning this car. I don't know what to think of it. I've been thinking of removing and get an SRI of some sort. Any thoughts on an inexpensove way to go.

Well if your pulling the airbox might as well pull the snorkel that goes through the fender also.

it wouldn't be worth the trouble to put it back in. those LL filters go for alot (new, like as much as the steeda). if you have decent mileage maybe toss it on ebay

I don't know if the filter is the origonal car has 55,000 or so bought it from Tousley at a little over 50,000. Nothing wrong with the filter that I noticed before I strictly took it out to change the marker light and really didn't want to put it back in.

Mybe hold onto the old airbox just in case you decide to sell the car.

That way it would be easier to sell the short air or CAI that you put into that car.
