Is This A New Scam?????

I have my daughter's '95 Prizm (Corolla) on Craigslist. I have received two different calls the past few days from guys who ask me to drive it to them in the Cities and they'll buy it (I live 50 miles out). "I have the cash", they say. Just drive it in, and they'll buy it. Sight unseen. Bull!
Anyway, anyone have any idea what these jerks (sorry, "gentlemen") are trying to pull? Whatever it is, I'm sure it ain't on the "up and up".

Had the same thing happen when I had my 4 wheeler for sale on there last year.

Had a guy call me and say I'll buy it now just bring it to me I have cash right now.. He would ask questions about it to make it sound like he knew what he was talking about but things weren't adding up right.. I told him that I had a couple other people looking at it before him and he seemed to get a little angry.. He was very persistant for me to bring it to him and he would give me cash... :?

Don't do it, your son lost his car to Craigslist already so I'm really surprised you'd use the site again.

IF you find a buyer you NEED to find a busy parking lot or even the parking lot of the DMV to meet in, DO NOT have them come to your house!!

DO NOT meet them at a site they suggest!!

The whole thing needs to be on YOUR terms, no flexibility!!

X2

Even if I know the person, I always go to a place where there are people/cameras. Better safe than sorry.
You could always tell them that you would PREFER a check for tracking purposes. lol, but he might not have the money in his acct. lol

Nothing wrong with CL. It's the jerks and scammers that are the problem!
By the way, I have no intentions of following-up with these jokers. In the remote instance where I would consider it, I would insist that they meet me at the local cop shop. [CLICK] "Hello. Hello. Hmmmm? They hung up. I guess they didn't want to go too near the police station. I wonder why."

Shit, had I known. I got something else though. So don't worry about it.

If I'd known it was you, I definitely would have been suspicious!
